Walmart Human Resources says it hired a roboticist to work in its human-resource department.
Walmart announced the hiring on Thursday, adding that the job would be for the “next several years.”
Walmart hired a human-resources assistant, called a CTO, in January after it fired a number of senior staffers.
Walmart said that CTO would work in human resources and would not be able to perform repetitive tasks such as scheduling, scheduling, customer service, customer education and support, or customer support.
Walter M. Baumgartner, president and CEO of Walmart, told CNBC in December that human resources is “not a new thing.”
