Human resources representative Michael A. Zagorski was named to the executive committee of the U.S. Department of Labor’s Human Resources and Workforce Development Council (HRWD).
Zagorsky’s promotion to senior human resources representative came on Jan. 13, the day Trump announced his executive order to ban travel from seven Muslim-majority countries, the Associated Press reported.
Zamprein, who is also a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution, was hired to be HRWD’s senior adviser to the president.
He was previously the executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union’s Immigrant Rights Project.
Zampreins previous job at the ACLU included serving as the ACLU’s deputy director of immigration litigation and policy analysis.
In 2011, he was the executive vice president of the National Immigration Forum, a conservative think tank, and previously served as an immigration attorney at the law firm Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Harcourt.
